In class, Meiya and I had been brainstomring ideas together:

- use several layers or masks for having specific elements in slow-mo, reversed or fast-paced, 

- different layers with different clips, overlayed

- narrative reversed: start of the story in the end

- having a leading color (one colored object or something alike) in opposition to a desaturated or black-white overall atmosphere

- drawn animation overlayed, or drawing comes alive by in video person drawing it 

- pub culture, funny theme

- fire, glitter, paint throwing

- mirror, reflection (river), fake reflection (a person moving differently in a mirror, even though the same reflected person) 

- magician gags

childish Gambino performs many surreal tricks and dance moves to impress the girl, also surreal elements included (start and end position the same, time has not moved at all) - poses the question of whether all had been just a lucid dream

Explanation of Moodboard:

1) Atmosphere:

the atmosphere created by song seems gloomy, aggressive, hostile, conflict based

"I don't need any more excuses (...) yet you say I am screaming"

- two people having conflict

- person screaming

- black and white toned imagery supporting the gloomy atmosphere

2) The title of song has contradiction:

four eyes:

probably implying glasses - if going by cliche these people are smart

no brain:

not intelligent

mask photo and not matching the true self/ reflection in mirror:

maybe that person tries to cover up being non intelligent by putting on a fassade 

"Four Eyes no Brain" could also imply addiction to media:

people using much media tend to strain their eyes and wear glasses

yet the mindless consumption of media can be a sign of lack of intelligence, not questioning this habitual and the media content
