Jake's Idea for the Music Video

After listening to the song, I imagine that the music video would be mostly dark and moody, and would mostly feature a lot of greens and purples. Also, the music video would have a more cinematic aspect ratio of 2:35:1. The music video will be filmed in the city, and a good place to film the video would be in an alleyway perhaps. The story of the music video would be about a guy who is angry at a former partner of his, because he feels like he's been dragging him down too much. It's been going on for at least two years, and it's been angering him for all this time. It's finally time for him to vent out all his frustrations on this person.

Lyrics  _________________________________________________________________________________ Artist: Hope is Noise  Album: Applaud friends, the comedy is over Song: Four Eyes and no Brain _________________________________________________________________________________ In class, we tried to decipher the lyrics of the chosen song, but are still faced with problems. Jake as a native English speaker derived the most, which comes down to: Two years on and you’re still breathing, Yet you say it’s me who’s dreaming, All the shit your name infuses, I don’t need your new excuses. Won’t you take them away? Won’t you take them away? Won’t you take them away? Open your eyes, cuz you’re trying to hide, From the freshest accounts, it will haunt you to town. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ From that alone I derive an interpretation: singer seems to be frustrated/ disappointed with a person that person seems to not take pro...

Song we might could be using

So we were listening to a song we could potentially do for our video. It is a song created by Hope is Noise but the issue is that the lyrics are hard to transcribe, so I'm willing to help out by transcribing them myself. Lyrics: Two years on and you’re still breathing, Yet you say it’s me who’s dreaming, All the shit your name infuses, I don’t need your new excuses. Won’t you take them away? Won’t you take them away? Won’t you take them away? Open your eyes, cuz you’re trying to hide, From the freshest accounts, it will haunt you to town. They deny

In Class Yanina and I were brainstorming together:  -  use several layers or masks for having specific elements in slow-mo, reversed or fast-paced,  - different layers with different clips, overlayed - narrative reversed: start of the story in the end - having a leading color (one colored object or something alike) in opposition to a desaturated or black-white overall atmosphere - drawn animation overlayed, or drawing comes alive by in video person drawing it  - pub culture, funny theme - fire, glitter, paint throwing - mirror, reflection (river), fake reflection (a person moving differently in a mirror, even though the same reflected person)  - magician gags Music videos   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYM-RJwSGQ8 Tove Lo- Habits (stay High) - Hippie Sabotage Remix  When I think about music videos, I am always thinking about this one.  - The camera is always focused on the main character  - You follow her journey and observe the impact of ...

We've been watching this music video from American band OK Go This was a fascinating one, since it all happens in 4 seconds but when slowed down, it shows a pretty amazing looking music video. Also we're deciding on how the music video should be about. After seeing the Take Me To Church music video it made me think that maybe we could make a little story based around an item. But we also need to come up of the song we're gonna use. - Jake Idea's  - use several layers or masks for having specific elements in slow-mo, reversed or fast-paced,  - different layers with different clips, overlayed - narrative reversed: start of the story in the end - having a leading color (one colored object or something alike) in opposition to a desaturated or black-white overall atmosphere - drawn animation overlayed, or drawing comes alive by in video person drawing it  - pub culture, funny theme - fire, glitter, paint throwing - mirror, reflection (river), fake reflection (a person moving...
