Short version narrative / character development

Narrative development  In the evening, the main character sits at their desk, surrounded by unpaid bills, newspaper articles and old letters. The setting sun reflects in their glasses and the sky changes from orange red to dark blue.    Out of frustration, they impulsively gather the papers and stuff them into a bag. They grab their bicycle and ride into the night without a specific destination in mind.    Arriving at an unknown place, they toss their bike on the ground and start a fire. Without thinking, they throw the memories into the flames. In their rage, they start breaking objects. In the end, they kick the fire and extinguish the flames.    As they walk back to their bicycle, they discover it's broken. They leave it behind and continue a peaceful walk back home. With the sunrise painting the sky in warm colours, they return home, finally free from the anger that once held inside. Character development  The main character is mad and frustra...

Rephrasing Narrative

Narrative, Rephrasing Meiya's first draft  It's evening. The main character is sitting at the desk, going through different documents:  Unpaid bills, piled up newspaper articles about disasters in the world, an old letter by a past friend that holds hurtful memories... The setting sun gets reflected in the character's glasses, Sighing, (s)he puts the glasses down and looks out the window: The sky is colored in golden and red colors, yet the dark and cold colors of the night are emerging, slowly taking over. (S)he gets frustrated. One last look at the papers - suddenly, out of an impulse, (s)he grabs all of them and packs them in a bag, leaving the house, grabs his/her bicycle outside and heads somewhere, not thinking about any specific goal. During the ride, it gets completely dark. Another impulse, and the character throws the bike on the ground. "Without a brain" (s)he starts making a fire, tossing the papers in it. (S)he is starting a rage by breaking things ar...
