Brainstorming Idea's Meiya

In Class Yanina and I were brainstorming together: 

-  use several layers or masks for having specific elements in slow-mo, reversed or fast-paced, 

- different layers with different clips, overlayed

- narrative reversed: start of the story in the end

- having a leading color (one colored object or something alike) in opposition to a desaturated or black-white overall atmosphere

- drawn animation overlayed, or drawing comes alive by in video person drawing it 

- pub culture, funny theme

- fire, glitter, paint throwing

- mirror, reflection (river), fake reflection (a person moving differently in a mirror, even though the same reflected person) 

- magician gags

When I think about music videos, I am always thinking about this one. 

- The camera is always focused on the main character 

- You follow her journey and observe the impact of her surroundings on her as a person 

- It has a color pallet

- Some parts are in slow-motion, which draws the viewers attention to the expression on her face

Hello Adele 

- Mix between the past and the present / looking back to a past relationship 

- Black / white / green color pallete that adds a nostalgic effect 

-There are a lot of shots where the background is blurry and the object in front is sharp

- Shots where the clips start blurry and gets shaper over time

- Moving camera shots 

- specific use of light 

Moodboard Four eyes and no Brain 

Explanation moodboard 

-  The song is punk/rock genre, I thought the dark rooms with colors would be a cool idea and fit with the genre 

- In the song he is screaming a lot, maybe he is angry or frustrated. Fire can add to that emotion/ visualises  the emotion 

- The person is screaming to himself or to another person. I thought that he might be mad at himself and then something like a mirror could show the anger he has against himself 

- There is a lot of street art in Cork and I think that street art fits the punk astheic. Maybe when it is darker it could be a nice location to film. 

- Retro style, the song was produced in 2007. Maybe a retro filter/ video style would match the song. 

- The song is called four eyes and no brain. It may be cool to really visualise four eyes. For example by showing two clips on top of each other.
