Short version narrative / character development
Narrative development
In the evening, the main character sits at their desk, surrounded by unpaid bills, newspaper articles and old letters. The setting sun reflects in their glasses and the sky changes from orange red to dark blue.
Out of frustration, they impulsively gather the papers and stuff them into a bag. They grab their bicycle and ride into the night without a specific destination in mind.
Arriving at an unknown place, they toss their bike on the ground and start a fire. Without thinking, they throw the memories into the flames. In their rage, they start breaking objects. In the end, they kick the fire and extinguish the flames.
As they walk back to their bicycle, they discover it's broken. They leave it behind and continue a peaceful walk back home. With the sunrise painting the sky in warm colours, they return home, finally free from the anger that once held inside.
Character development
The main character is mad and frustrated about everything. Some old memories push them to their limit, and they explode in anger. To deal with that anger, they start breaking things and burning the past, including old letters and more. After the outburst, the main character is free from the anger and sees a new perspective.
